What in the world is MOXIE?
If you look up “moxie” in any of the easily available online dictionaries, you will find that it originated as the trademark for a soft drink, first introduced back in 1884. In fact, you can still buy Moxie – at www.buymoxie.com . (No, I don’t get a cut.) Over time the trademark came into general use as a noun meaning energy, pep, determination, and perseverance. A person who has “moxie” gets things done.
Think about this.
"Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent."
